Description:

.

Balrog

OVERVIEW:
Balrog is the absolute low tier in CE. While some great players have perfected the character and are able to put him to good use, his lack of resources and design limitations make him a difficult character to master. This is a characteristic of CPS1 SF2 four grandmasters: while somewhat broken, they lack moves and animation.

Balrog has received some improvements and features from CEJ/HF. The Turn Around Punch (TAP) has 8 damage levels and is now immune to projectiles at levels 1, 2, and 3. MP/MK crouches are special cancelable, and his jump HP/HK hitboxes have been given more priority to counter airborne moves like Honda's Sumo Headbutt and Bison's Psycho Crusher. And in keeping with the philosophy of giving each character a knockdown special whenever possible, the LP Dash Straight knocks down and can hit a crouching opponent.

NOTATION:
LP - light punch (jab)
MP - medium punch (strong)
HP - heavy punch (fierce)
LK - light kick (short)
MK - medium kick (forward)
HK - heavy kick (roundhouse)
